Young Leaders Shine at Recent Leadership Academy Training
A selected group of enthusiastic Year 5 and Year 6 pupils from Parrett and Axe recently took part in a special Leadership Academy training session designed to nurture confidence, teamwork, and responsibility.
The Leadership Academies provide high-quality support and development for young leaders and volunteers who are already demonstrating a positive impact within their school or local community. The programme helps children build essential skills such as communication, organisation, problem-solving, and collaboration—skills that will benefit them both in and beyond the classroom.
During the training, pupils took part in a series of practical workshops and team-building challenges. These activities encouraged them to reflect on what it means to be a role model, how to lead by example, and how to support others effectively. The children worked brilliantly together, showing impressive maturity, creativity, and enthusiasm throughout the day.
The newly trained leaders will now bring their ideas and skills back into school, helping to inspire younger pupils, support whole-school events, and contribute to a positive, inclusive school community.
We are incredibly proud of all the children who took part and look forward to seeing the impact of their leadership across Parrett and Axe over the coming months.
