Board of Governors

Welcome to the Governing Board section of Parrett and Axe CE VA School. Our governors play a vital role in shaping the schools strategic direction, overseeing its policies and supporting its overall performance to ensure every child has the best possible education.

Our Governing Body is made up of a dedicated team representing different parts of our community:

Foundation Governors - Nominated by the local PCCs and confirmed by the Diocese of Salisbury.
Local Authority Governor - Appointed by Dorset Council.
Parent Governors - Elected by parents and carers.
Staff Governor - Elected by school staff.
Co-Opted Staff Governor - Appointed by the Full Governing Body (FGB).
Headteacher - An ex-officio member of the Governing Board.
