Tree Planting Bonanza

8.12.22 – In the middle of November we held tree planting sessions in school. Every child was given the opportunity to plant a tree somewhere in our school grounds.
Local Tree Expert, Pete Rothman, who has years of experience planting trees in schools with children, came in to help us over two days.
We now have a spectacular new hedgerow to look after in our forest school area and lots of new Rowan, Silver Birch and Cherry Trees planted in and around the school grounds.
The children worked extremely hard and really enjoyed learning about the importance of planting trees. They were so proud of their achievements and of the idea that the trees will be on the school grounds for years to come. It was a really special couple of days as you will hopefully see by the pictures!!!
Thanks to the PTFA for funding our local tree expert and to all the parents, children and school staff who lent a hand on the day!
We really look forward to seeing them flourish!
Next stop – An Orchard!
Watch this space.
