School Council

Our thriving School Council enables our children to develop as individuals who can make a positive contribution to our school community.  The School Council gives pupils the chance to experience active citizenship, opening their minds to the role they can play in the wider community. They democratically elect their own officers from each year group who liaise with key members of the school staff.  Meetings take place in school time approximately once a month.

30.11.23 – In November, the School Council were very kindly invited to visit Morrisons Bakery. They had a grand tour of the shop itself, the bakery, and the store rooms. They were given the opportunity to watch and help the process of making bread. They also put jam into donuts, and picked their own toppings for a pizza! They even went into the very cold freezers, but didn’t want to stay in there for very long! Thank you very much to Morrisons for having us.

3.12.19 – Our School Council members were invited to Beaminster St Mary’s Church to decorate a Christmas tree.

Thank you to everyone who gave a donation and dressed in a wacky outfit for Red Nose Day! It really is a fantastic charity which provides support to people  who needs help the most.
From Miss Humphries and the School Council

19.11.18  Today Joy from the sanctuary joined us in assembly and thanked us for our donations. One of our school councilors also delivered a lovely speech thanking Joy for all of her hard work.
