Parrett and Axe CE VA Primary School are seeking a Finance and Administration Officer to be part of a positive, forward thinking School Office team.
The successful post holder will be responsible for the day to day finance activities including purchasing, preparing and monitoring the school budget, completing monthly and year end returns to the LA. Reporting to the Headteacher and Governors on financial matters.
To oversee the co-ordination of site maintenance, reporting repairs required to relevant personnel.
To be responsible for the administration required for recruitment and personnel liaising with the Headteacher and Dorset Council HR.
To be the School’s Educational Visit Co-ordinator.
Hours of work are 30 hours per week, 39 working weeks, term time only. The successful candidate will report to the Office Manager and due to the office setup, we are seeking to appoint a person with a cheerful outlook who will, at times, be required to be ‘a port of call’ for parents, staff and visitors, both in person, over the phone and via email. You must possess excellent people skills, have the ability to multi task and remain calm under pressure.
It is essential that the applicant has accounting experience and ideally experience of working in a school environment. It is desirable that the applicant has previous experience of SIMS, FMS and other school management systems.
