Corfe Welly Walk

The reception children will be taking part in a sponsored ‘Welly Walk’ on Wednesday 18th October at 11am to help raise money for the outdoor learning environment. They will be walking, running, hopping and skipping around the field and may even have to negotiate a few muddy obstacles along the way!

Please remember to send your child into school with old clothes on and wellies in a separate bag.

#CEOP Summer Challenge

On Monday 24th July, we will be launching #CEOPSummerChallenge, six weeks of thematic challenges for parents and carers to complete with their children.

The challenge aims to support parents and carers to talk regularly with their children about being online and how to be safer. Each week, parents and carers can choose one challenge (or more if they wish!), from four options per age group, for ages 4 to 11 and 11+. Topics covered in the challenge will be:

Week 1: online security
Week 2: a balanced view of being online
Week 3: sharing photos online
Week 4: socialising online
Week 5: online videos
Week 6: online gaming

Parents and carers can follow the challenge on our Facebook (Click CEOP), where you can look out for posts every Monday.

Super Stride Friday 23 June

We are excited to announce that this year we aim to breathe new life into our playground by having the faded markings removed, and brand-new markings installed. The quotes that we have received to do this are quite costly, so in order to raise funds to complete the works we will be holding a Super Stride!

Super Stride will be a fun, 2k or 5k (your choice!) run or walk. Come in fancy dress as your favourite super hero – you can even make up your own super hero, and there will be a prize for the best dressed. Parents & siblings are invited to take part and to also get sponsored. The class who raises the most money will get a reward.

Super Stride will take place on Friday 23rd June at 1.30pm. Parents & siblings can arrive from 1.20pm. Students can come to school already in their fancy dress. (Fancy dress is optional)

A sponsor form can be obtained from the office and we will happily print extra sheets if needed.

Mr Harris will also be partaking in the Super Stride, but he will be doing a 10k. He will begin at the school and finish at the school, but his route will take him around the village.

Eggs for Sale!

2.5.22 – Harris, one of our enterprising young students, is selling eggs from his hens. Half the proceeds will go to the feed for the hens and the other half he is generously donating to the school.

There is a container full of eggs on the school roundabout along with an honesty box. The eggs will be selling fast so be quick!

Well done Harris!

Kwik Cricket enjoyed!

19.4.23 – Last Tuesday afternoon, 8 of our children took part in the Kwik Cricket Tournament at Beaminster Memorial Playing Fields. The team were captained superbly by Archie with 6 players on the pitch at one time either batting or fielding.

We played 4 games on 2 different pitches and all our children excelled in both positions.

Parrett and Axe team won 1 game, drew 1  and lost 2 by a small margin. The children upheld all our school and Olympic sporting values and enjoyed a brilliant afternoon of Cricket.

Congratulations to them all.
