Important COVID-19 Information during the holidays:
The government have asked schools to clarify the procedures should there be a positive COVID-19 case (staff or student) in the holidays:
- If symptoms develop within 48 hours of being in school we are being asked to assist in identifying close contacts and advising self-isolation, as the individual may have been infectious whilst in school. Therefore, if your child develops symptoms over the first weekend or tests positive at the start of the holidays, please use the email@example.com account to let us know as soon as possible, putting COVID in the header.
- If symptoms develop more than 48 hours after being in school, the school should not be contacted, parents and carers should follow contact tracing instructions provided by NHS Test and Trace.
Can I ask to always email or telephone the office to inform us of any absences – not to just leave a message with staff at the school gate.
