Use the links below to go to your child’s working at home page. We will be updating these pages on a regular basis so please keep looking. There are also a number of websites offering free resources which are added below.

Lexia

For those children who are using Lexia, we would strongly recommend that you carry on at home if you are able. You can access the program from home by going to  www.lexiacore5.com or by downloading the relevant program app.

It will prompt you to input a teacher’s email address the first time you visit the website/app which is lexia@parrettandaxe.com. Then you use the username and password that your child would normally use in school.

Sir Linkalot is on a quest to make ”I can’t spell” a thing of the past. Helping students of any age with spelling, punctuation, and grammar based on linking. 

Phonics Play Comics are decodable comics featuring familiar characters from PhonicsPlay along with some new friends. They are short, simple, silly comics that can be viewed on screen or printed out. They aim to provide opportunities for children to rehearse the precise knowledge and skills that they learn in school each week.

Twinkl, a website with excellent education resources, has a free month’s membership during the current crisis to help those who are self isolating. Visit twinkl.co.uk/offer and use the code UKTWINKLHELPS to set up an account.

Sketchup is a 3D design programme that most children from year 4 to 6 have used and enjoyed. This link takes you to a free online version which you have to sign up to.

Scratch Online is a block coding program that all KS2 children have been using in school. Just click on the link and click create and off you go. There are lots of tutorials on YouTube so get coding.

Typing Club If you want to learn to touch type, this is a good programme to get you started.


Premier League Primary Stars resources

Here, parents will find a huge amount of resources that cover subjects ranging from PE and PSHE to maths and English. There are also ideas around whole class competitions that siblings could have a go at within the family.

BBC Super Movers

A fun and active way to learn! The Super Movers initiative aims to promote simple and repeatable movements to compliment learning across core primary school subjects. They combine fun dances with catchy songs that the children will love to copy in their homes.

BBC Teach – Let’s Get Active

A range of skills and challenges presented in a child friendly format. They will encourage creativity as parents and children try to recreate the challenges in their own home.

Change 4 Life

Change 4 Life have teamed up with Disney to inspire young people to keep active indoors. Parents and children can follow the simple steps to perform a range of physical skills along with their Disney heroes from Lion King, Toy Story, Incredibles and more. The website also includes sports quizzes and recipe ideas for healthy eating.

Thinkuknow
